Facility

The Facility page shows a cloud snapshot of a controller’s facility model — floors, zones, groups, and devices — so you can inspect structure without treating the platform as a second facility editor.

Platform vs controller

ControllerPlatform Facility
RoleAuthoritative facility structure and live opsSynced view for visibility and AI context
EditingCommission and configure on the controller (or via remote access)Refresh and browse; not the primary place to redesign the building
OfflineController keeps working on the LANSnapshot may become stale until you refresh

:::info Naming On the controller, “Facility” is the native spatial model. On the platform, the Facility page is that same model cached for your site. Do not confuse platform Buildings (logical controller groups) with controller facility floors. :::

Open Facility

  1. Go to Facility in the sidebar, or open a controller card on a site and choose Facility.
  2. Select Site and Controller.
  3. On the Snapshot tab, choose Refresh facility when you need the latest model (site owner, admin, or manager — or equivalent platform roles).

Tabs

TabWhat you see
SnapshotRevision, freshness / stale status, refresh action
FloorsFloors from the controller facility model
ZonesZones on those floors
GroupsDevice groups (operational control domains)
DevicesDevices / resources in the model
DataIngest / event stream status for that controller

When to refresh

Refresh after commissioning changes on the controller, after assigning a new controller to a site, or when Agents / Assistant scope looks out of date (floors and zones for a building come from the linked controller’s snapshot).
